February 2010. John Nemeth

arch John Nemeth Russian tour organized with the support of "The Jumping Cats" band was a huge success. All the concerts both in Moscow and St. Petersburg were fully sold out.

John, one of the most prominent contemporary blues singers, attracted a lot of attention and provided a lot of possitive vibrance. Feedback can be found on the internet and in press. The very high professional level of "The Jumping Cats" band, who accomped John Nemeth at all concerts, was noted.

According to John, he was very pleased with the organization level, clubs, concerts and audiences. He enjoyed playing with the band and further collaboration is being discussed at the moment.

November 2009. "Minsk Blues Festival"

arch"The Jumping Cats" participated in "Minsk Blues Festival 2009", which took place at "Minks" Concert Hall, the largest one in the capital of Belarus. Thousands of Belarusian blues lovers sang the final song together with the band.

Beside "The Jumping Cats" there were blues bands from Switzerland, Latvia, Russia, Belarus and USA. Sonny Landreth, one of the most exceptional guitarists of the modern blues-rock music, was a headliner.

September 2009. "Golden City"

archOne late evening the band made its way to the "Empty Hills 2009: Golden City" music festival taking place somewhere in the woods quite far from Moscow city.

It was a great honor for "The Jumping Cats" to be the headliner of the autumn reincarnation of such a fab festival. The band performed one of its warmest sets on the cosy stage setting a very positive and energetic atmosphere for the whole festival.

September 2009. Arsen Shomakhov

archArsen Shomakhov's (Canada) Russian tour was a great success. All the gigs in Moscow were comped by "The Jumping Cats" band.

Arsen Shomakhov (born in Russia) is one of the most outstanding blues guitarists, a regular participant of American, Canadian and European festivals. In 2006 he released his album "Dangerous!" on Blues Leaf Records, USA.

September 2009. "Mamakabo" festival

arch"The Jumping Cats" band participated in "Mamakabo" festival, one of the most famous Russian music festivals. It took place at "Etnomir" ("Etnoworld"), Moscow region and attracted quite a number of artists of defferent genres.

Just to name some guests present: Sergey Manukuan, "Neschastny Sluchay" band, Eugene Margulis, Oleg Mityaev, Timur Vedernikov, Irina Surina and Dmitry Chetvergov. It was the best possible end of the summer both in terms of organization and atmosphere.

August 2009. "Music in Details" Music Festival

archOne of the greatest festivals - "Music in details" took place in the centre of Moscow on August 28-30. "The Jumping Cats" launched the third day of the festival with some nice old blues. August 2009. Minsk

arch"The Jumping Cats" happened to be in Minsk, Belarus. A gig in the "RockHouse" club appealed to an impressive crowd of supportive fans that preferred standing close to the stage to comfortable seating at the reserved tables.

We would like to express our gratitude to Sergey Kurek and Yaroslav Alekseev for the superb organization of the tour, to Alexey Shilovich for his moral support and to the amazing "Miss Silence" band for launching the concert.

July 2009. "Bliuzo Naktys" Music Festival

arch"The Jumping Cats" band left for Lithuania's "Bliuzo Naktys", the largest blues festival in Baltics (www.bliuzonaktys.lt). It took place in a very beautiful place close to a big lake next to Varniai city. Dwayne Dopsie & The Zydeco Hellraisers (US) and The Cadillac Kings (UK) were the headliners of the festival. There was a number of other cool bands from Lithuania, Latvia and Poland.

"The Jumping Cats" performed at the sunset on the second day of the festival. The audience was evidently impressed by the performance, as it demanded for more by yelling "Jumping Cats! Jumping Cats!". Despite the very tough schedule the band was happy to play some more songs after a continuous hour set. The rest of the night was extremely positive as well, special thanks go to all our Lithuanian and Latvian friends!

July 2009. "Neva Delta" Music Festival

arch"The Jumping Cats" band took part in the «Neva Delta Blues», the main blues festival in St. Petersbourg. It was the second time the band was invited to the festival after a very successful set in 2008. "The Jumping Cats" performed a completely new set which received a highly positive feedback both from audience and the well-known headliners such as Steve Baker, Abi Wallenstein and Eddie Turner. A night jam on the river vessel was a perfect top-stone for the festival.

June 2009. "BluesStock" Music Festival

arch"The Jumping Cats" band performed at "Blues Stock Festival", Belgrad (Serbia), the biggest blues festival at the Balkans. The band played an hour set and received a very positive feedback from the audience. Pera Joe, a harp legend of Serbia, joined the band for one song. Some hours before the beginning of the festival Vladimir Rusinov was interviewed by the Serbian TV resulting in two songs from the "Live at Roadhouse" DVD being broadcasted on the Serbian National TV. Next day the band was invited to perform at the legendary "Vox" bluesclub in Belgrad.

June 2009. "Kupala on Rozhayka" festival

arch"The Jumping Cats" band performed at "Kupala on Rozhayka", one of the most cosy openair festivals of the Moscow region. The set was played already at the sunrise but audience was extremely active and positive!

June 2009. "Empty Hills" Music Festival

arch"Empty Hills 2009" festival did not go as well as expected both for the band and for most of the audience. "The Jumping Cats" arrived at the spot but could not perform their set here (in russian).

But on Tuesday, June 16th, the band arranged "Blues from Hills" festival's After Party at the "Roadhouse" club. It was a very successful jam with a lot of artists from the festival: Yuri Novgorodsky - guitar, vocal (The Backstage); Vadim Ivaschenko – guitar, vocal; Ilya Alekhin - sax, vocal (Salt Peanutz); Sergey "John" Sorokin – harp; Petr Repin – vocal; Petr Kunarev – vocal; Alexey Siluyanov – guitar, vocal

April 2009. "Blues.ru" Big Jam

arch"The Jumping Cats" band held a "Blues.ru Big Jam" festival at "Tinkoff" restaurant, Moscow. The idea besides the festival was to invite young and talented blues artists, to have them perform and receive the feedback from the most authoritative jury, which included: Sergey Voronov, Giya Dzagnidze, Dmitry Chetvergov, Vovka Kozhekin, Eirik Bergene and Fedor Romanenko.

"The Jumping Cats" accomped to young artists for about four hours. Many of the participating young artists were later invited to join the band for the "Jumping Tuesdays" at the "Roadhouse" club.

April 2009. Alex Schultz & Tad Robinson

archTad Robinson and Alex Schultz performed a gig in Vladimir, Russia.

It was a great honor for "The Jumping Cats" to open the concert of these famous artists in Vladimir, which was possible after they visited the "The Jumping Cats" performance some days before.

At the end of the concert Tad Robinson replaced all of his musiciants with "The Jumping Cats" band members without even breaking the song - the brightest final for the show one could ever imagine!

April 2009. DVD Production

archOn April 7 and 14 concerts of "The Jumping Cats" performance was filmed at the "Roadhouse", the main Russian blues club.

We would like to say a great THANK YOU to all our devoted fans who supported us at this very special event. Alex Schultz and Tad Robinson by chance happened to be among the audience on the first day of DVD filming and we were proud to receive their positive feedback.



April 2009. St. Petersburg

arch"The Jumping Cats" band performed an extremely energetic 3-hour concert, which literally shaked the "The Other Side" pub. Marat Dakota, an outstanding harpist, joined the band for quite a long set. Ivan Zhuk's unexpected set added even more fire. Besides that, Eugeny Lamba, a young and talented guitarist from St. Petersburg, made his contribution to the gig.

In some couple of months we would return to St. Petersburg again, to perform at the main stage of the "Neva Delta Blues" Music Festival.

March 2009. Enrico Crivellaro & Brian Templeton

archEnrico Crivellaro and Brian Templeton, the most prominent blues artists, invited "The Juming Cats" band to join them at their gig at the "Roadhouse" blues club. The set was short but extremely impressive.

It was our honor to receive a very positive feedback from the world famous blues professionals.

December 2008. New Year Jumping Tuesday

arch"The Jumping Cats" band held a huge "New Year Jumping Tuesday" inviting most of the artists who had performed with the band during 2008.

A great holiday gig lasted for more than two hours and filled every heart with joy and festive vigour.

November 2008. Harpfest

archThe 10th International Harp Festival took place in Moscow.

"The Jumping Cats" band were honored to acomp to two great artists: Marat Dakota, an incredible harpist from St. Petersburg and Eirik Bergene, an old Norwegian friend of the band.

October 2008. Outstanding Keith Dunn!

arch "The Jumping Cats" acomped to Keith Dunn, the master of classic blues and harp virtuoso. It happened by chance and without a single repetition.

The concert took place at B.B.King, one of the oldest Moscow blues clubs, and it was sold out far in advance. The audience was extremely positve about the gig while the band received a lot of compliments from Keith Dunn himself.

October 2008. Joakim Tinderholt - a hurricane from Norway!

arch At the end of October "The Jumping Cats" band performed together with Joakim Tinderholt, the famous Norwegian guitarist and singer, Norwegian Blues Hurricane.

Joakim is extremely famous in Norway, his band "Joakim Tinderholt Express" has performed at the numerous blues clubs and a lot of festivals including "Notodden Blues Festival". He has played with such well-known artists as Rick Holmstrom, Mitch Kashmar, RJ Mischo, Kid Andersen, Vidar Busk and many others.

September 2008. Arkhangelsk

arch"The Jumping Cats" band's Northern Tour to Arkhangelsk was a huge success. We received a truly warm welcome from the Arkhangelsk audience.

Vladimir Rusinov says: "The public was so positive and communicative after the concert that one fan almost screwed Mikhail's neck with his strong hug..."

August 2008. The festival end of the summer

festAt the end of August "The Jumping Cats" band participated in the three main Moscow blues festivals.

The "Summer End Blues" festival at "B2" night club started the row. Then the band celebrated the last day of the summer with the "Swing Boom" openair festival at "Gorbushka" summer stage. The 5th Moscow International Blues Festival in "Lefortovo" park was a perfect summer winding up: the band shared the scene with such well-known artists as Kenny Neal, Lil'Ed & The Blues Imperials and Eric Sardinas.



August 2008. "Star" Radio

radio"The Jumping Cats" band participated in the "Labatory" programm on the "Star" Radio, 95.6 FM. It was a very possitive and joyful experience for us even though the performance was in the "soft", not completely usual for us format, with a drumkit of small and hat only.

We spent an hour talking with Mikhail Antonov, a great radio host. During that hour we discussed the correlation between the blues and the space, the role of a woman-drummer in art, the ways to receive the knighthood, the metodology of blues concerts performances and the usage of Soviet guitars in everyday life. Vladimir Rusinov gave an answer to the very important question: "Who is principal?".

July 2008. "Blues on Terrace" Music Festival

piter"The Jumping Cats" band successfully participated in the "Blues on Terrace 2008" Music Festival in Vologda, Russia.

Vladimir Rusinov says: "We were very impressed by Sergey Manukyan who performed with absolutely fantastic Oleg Yudanov on drums. It was extremely faery, free, improvisatory and full of music. If, by any chance, you don't know who Sergey Manukyan is, he is a great singer playing both accords and bass on keyboard and percussion, while Oleg Yudanov has a great sense of music and two of them basically make an orchestra..."

July 2008. "Neva Delta Blues" Music Festival

piter"The Jumping Cats" band performed at the "Neva Delta Blues" festival in St. Petersburg, where they received highly positive feedback from the American headliners of the festival and the festival's organizers.

"A great festival, a very good organization... an interesting programm... Two days passed as one week - it was so cool and interesting. Beautiful St. Petersburg - my favourite city! "



June 2008. "Empty Hills" Music Festival

holmi"The Jumping Cats" participated at the "Empty Hills" great free-style music festival.

Vladimir Rusinov says: "The previous festival helped me understand what I needed from all this... from all these festivals and music... It was a kind of a milestone year. We created a true band and we already have our real fans and friends. Now we all have different feelings and insights, and we have a lot of to be done in the future, so it won't be boring."
